The Heat Struggle PET blowing ovens are brutal on equipment. To keep your cycle times fast, you need high wattage density to get those preforms to the right temperature quickly. The problem? That puts a massive amount of stress on the filament. To fix this, we used a reinforced tungsten filament. It’s designed to handle those aggressive on-off cycles without giving up the ghost. Built Like a Tank Most standard tubes fail at the pinch seal or where the connector hits the glass. It’s the weakest link. We switched to heavy-wall quartz glass. It distributes the thermal stress much better and can take a beating from the constant vibration of the oven. Plus, they fit your existing sockets perfectly. A Few Things to Keep in Mind Here’s the trade-off: because the glass is thicker, the infrared transmission changes a tiny bit.
