Let’s be honest: OEM heating lamps are expensive. Like, “why is this piece of glass costing me this much?” expensive. It’s tempting to just grab the cheapest alternative you can find online. But here’s the thing—you can’t cheat the physics. These aren’t just light bulbs. They are high-density thermal radiators designed to move a massive amount of heat, very quickly. The secret is in the power. When you’re looking for a replacement, keep an eye on the wattage-to-length ratio. That’s what actually controls how fast your fryer ramps up. If you put in a tube with lower watt-density than what you had before, your fryer is going to struggle to hit the target temp. And when that happens? Your food just soaks up the oil. Nobody wants a greasy fry. We make our tubes to match the OEM footprint exactly. That means you can just pop them in without having to tear apart your control panel or mess with the wiring. Why quartz and halogen? We use high-purity quartz because it can take a beating. When oil temperatures spike, standard glass just snaps. Quartz doesn’t. Inside, we use halogen gas. It stops the tungsten filament from evaporating too fast, which keeps the tube clear and the heat steady over the long haul. Some of our versions even have a special coating that pushes the heat directly onto the food instead of wasting it on the oven walls. A quick heads-up on installation. Most of these use R7s or Sk15 connectors, so they should slide right in. But a word of caution: if you’re pushing for maximum wattage in a small tube, your sockets are going to feel the heat. If you run them at the absolute limit, make sure your housing has plenty of airflow. Otherwise, those connector terminals can oxidize or even melt. That’s usually where the “bargain” tubes fail.
