Introduction
We built this 300mm infrared halogen tube for one reason: to fix the heating headaches on your SIPA rotary machine. The whole point is simple—get every heating station pulling the exact same power. When every lamp is on the same page, you finally say goodbye to hot spots and cold streaks. The kind that slow you down and cost you in scrap.
Power, Voltage, and Size—Straight to the Point
It runs at 400V, 2500W, and it’s 300mm long. That combo is how we pack in serious heat density without the power fading out across the bank. And that 300mm length? It lines up cleanly with the Sidel SBO preform zone, so your heating footprint is repeatable, station after station. But here’s the reality check. A 2500W tube throws off a lot of heat in a tight space, so your machine’s cooling and airflow have to be up to the job. If you run it without enough cooling, you’ll end up cooking the electronics and shortening the life of the components.
Material and Design—Built to Stay Consistent
We use a coated quartz envelope because it keeps output steady over time. The coating protects the filament from breaking down and keeps the infrared spectrum stable. In practice, that means the preform surface heats evenly—no spiking, no sudden collapse. And the R7s base isn’t just a random pick. It locks the lamp in place and keeps the connection solid, even when the machine is vibrating. On a rotary system, that vibration will loosen weak connections fast and cause flicker. The R7s design stops that from happening, and it gives you a drop-in replacement that wires up quickly.
Real-World Use: SIPA Rotary and PET Blow Molding
On SIPA rotary lines doing PET blow molding, the preform neck has to stay cool while the body stretches evenly. Our lamp profile keeps the heat where it belongs—on the body, not the neck. And because every lamp matches power perfectly, tuning your heating curve stops being guesswork. You get heating that’s stable and repeatable. Tolerances hold. Burn-through happens less. Scrap drops. It’s a practical upgrade: a tough lamp, spec’d right, that lets you run faster without chasing temperature swings every shift.
