That’s great for the weather, but terrible for the person trying to fix it. Our fix? Gasketed access panels. You still get all that rugged outdoor protection, but you actually have a way to get inside when you need to. The One Catch Here’s the thing: these high-wattage tubes put out a ton of concentrated heat. Because of that, the reflector needs to stay shiny. If that mirror surface gets cloudy or oxidized over a few years, your heat won’t throw as far, even with a brand-new tube. So, while you’re in there swapping the element, just give the reflectors a quick wipe down. It takes a second, and it keeps everything running hot. The Bottom Line for Your Wallet This changes the math on how you own your equipment. Instead of paying for a brand-new unit every few years, you’re just spending about 15% of that cost on a replacement part and 30 minutes of a guy’s time. No soldering. No custom metal work.
