Getting the Heat Right
Most of our elements are built for high wattage. Why? Because nobody likes waiting for a machine to warm up. When you go with a high-voltage tube, you get a much tighter heat density. It’s the only way to melt plastic quickly without turning your entire machine frame into an oven. For example, if you’re running a 400V system on a 300mm tube, that heat flux is intense. Just a heads-up: make sure your cooling fans are up to the task. If the ambient air gets too hot, you’re looking at fried wiring.
The Nitty-Gritty: Materials and Fit
We use high-purity quartz glass to protect the tungsten filament. But for certain plastics, we add a special coating. Here’s why that matters: it shifts the emission spectrum. Instead of just scorching the surface of the plastic, the heat actually sinks deeper into the wall. You get a better melt, not a burnt shell. As for the fit, we offer R7s and Sk15 connectors. They’re designed to be drop-in replacements for most industrial ovens. We keep the tolerances tight because we know the feeling of fighting with a part during a maintenance shutdown.
